In Los Angeles, CA there is a beautiful melting pot of people from all different backgrounds, educations, and belief systems. You can feel the creativity around you and watch breakthroughs emerging from every field. A problem that we recognize is that this city is also one of the most profoundly lonely places in the world. Though creativity, influence, and resources are immense, finding others to connect with on an intellectual and fulfilling level can be difficult. Furthermore, today it seems the art of discourse has all but eroded, and society has never been more polarized and entrenched in personal bias.

Our mission is to create a place of flourishing community where lifelong learners can come to connect, discuss, listen, and be heard. We believe that diversity stimulates creativity. The topics of discussion at The Agora are continuously changing so that whether your passion lies in the arts or in STEM, there is a place for you to find resources and qualified individuals to learn from and share with.

The Agora is designed to be a forerunner in community formation, and provides a space for rich professional and personal relationships to be made. We believe that friendship can serve as a source of feedback and inspiration, and helps to challenge and motivate us to think in new and inventive ways.

What is it about a steaming cappuccino or freshly brewed tea that can stimulate conversation and bring people together? Perhaps it's the warm, comforting aroma that invites people to linger and chat, or the ritual of brewing and serving that fosters a sense of camaraderie. Whatever the reason, we serve a selection of artisan coffee and tea to stimulate the mind and create a medium of enjoyment for people to congregate around.

We are partnering with some of LA's very best breweries and tea houses to bring free, fine cups of tea and coffee on tap to all our events. At the Agora, we get a bit snobbish about our drinks.
